As promised by Smackdown Live General Manager Paige, we found out who would be the next person in line to challenge for the WWE Championship. We broke the news last week that WWE was advertising Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles at SummerSlam.

Joe attacked Styles during the contract signing while Paige was tossing James Ellsworth out of the arena. After the beatdown, he signed the contract.
